Entry Requirements
English at grade C or above is required. It is essential that you have genuine enthusiasm for all elements of the media.
Why choose Media Studies?
This course gives students the opportunity to examine an industry that is held responsible for everything from youth crime to the results of elections. Media Studies gives students the chance to understand how and why the media is able to do this.
The subject covers a mix of theoretical and practical work, and the widespread choice of briefs, giving candidates the flexibility to choose topics and interests. So whether you want a course that will develop a broad spectrum of subjects or to learn the basic practical skills to enter the industry, Media Studies is for you.

The subject works well with a large selection of subjects and is good preparation for a range of careers and degrees such as; Media Production, Cultural studies, Communication studies, Journalism, Photography, English Language and Literature, Sociology and Psychology.
